Why we built it
This was never just about selling peptides.
Before ChainPep, I spent years in and around analytical laboratories — running HPLC traces, interpreting mass spectra, and signing off on batch records. I learned early that a result is only meaningful if you can reproduce it, and you can only reproduce it if the inputs are genuinely what the label claims.
Month after month, research compounds would arrive with no traceable certificate, a missing lot number, or a “COA” that was little more than a marketing graphic. Colleagues wasted weeks on experiments that failed because the material underneath them had never been verified. That frustration became personal.
I did not set out to build a storefront. I set out to remove the guesswork — to make sure every vial that left a facility could be tied back to an independent chromatogram, an identity confirmation, and a named reviewer. An independent laboratory confirms molecular identity by electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry, then quantifies assay purity by reversed-phase HPLC with UV detection at 214 nm, before any lot is released. The figures printed on the label are read straight from that file, not from a slogan.

Each product carries a searchable, downloadable batch record. Pull the HPLC trace and mass-spectrum confirmation by compound name — no login, no support ticket, no waiting.

Material is held in −20 °C lab-grade freezers, handled cold-chain through dispatch, and packed in insulated, unbranded packaging with temperature protection where it is needed.
